Sir
John Seton, second surviving son of Sir Alexander
Seton, the Keeper of Berwick during the famed siege
of the town by Englands King Edward, was founder
of the Seton's of Parbroath. He married the
heiress Elizabeth Balfour, given to his father to
bestow on his son by Scotland's King David II.
The Seton's of Parbroath were hereditary Keepers of
Falkland Palace, Royal Comptrollers, Justiciar's and Sheriffs of
Fife, and contributed endlessly to the Church and
Clergy. |
