Descended from the Seton's of Barnes, it is somewhat unclear of which son or daughter of James Seton, Governor of the Island of St. Vincent either remained or returned.  What is clear is that the name and family has continued there for many generations, spreading to the Island of Jamaica and other areas of the West Indies dating from the late 18th century.

The senior representative of the line is unknown.
