Descended from the Seton's of Parbroath, they settled in Germany first during the german wars of the 17th century.  Later, branches of the Parbroath line also settled again in Germany, and were followed by Seton's from the Touch/Gargunnock family line.  The German Seton's also spell their name as S-E-I-T-O-N.

The senior representative of the line is unknown.
