Garleton-Kingston  Suit

The lands of Garleton were obtained by George, 7th Lord Seton and passed to Sir John Seton of Barnes, returning to the Earls of Winton.  Sir John Seton, 1st Baronet of Garleton, was the 4th son of George Seton 3rd Earl of Winton from his 2nd marriage to Elizabeth Maxwell, and born 1639. He married Christian, daughter of Sir John Home of Renton. The baronets of Garleton were heirs-male of the Earldom of Winton after the forfeiture of the 5th Earl, but the line ended in 1769, and Garleton sold in 1724.
