A Special Seton Family Thank You

As the website author, I would like to personally thank Mary and David McMillan for their generous hospitality during my visit to Seton in the Spring of 2004.  While on a business trip to London, between March and April, I took the opportunity to over the weekend to take a personal tour of, and pilgrimage to, East Lothian, and in particular to visit the old family Estate.

Upon arrival on the grounds of Seton, although private, I encountered David McMillan, who generously granted me a private tour of Seton Castle and introduced me to his wife Mary McMillan.  As they were in the process of renovating the Castle, I was able to see first hand the transformation from the neglected state in which the Castle had been in, into the more restored state as it is now.

Both Mary and David were entertaining and hospitable, and though we had only a brief few hours, were able to enjoy engaging conversation about the family and the old Estate.  Later they permitted me to tour and photograph the grounds with complete freedom on my own, for which gracious opportunity I would like to offer my dearest thanks.
