Scottish Oatmeal Cookies

Another Great Scottish traditional favourite recipe

 

You can't go wrong on this age-old recipe, simply follow the directions, and 'VOILA'!

Mix the ingredients, in the following order, and preferably by hand.  Blend the dough, as if to knead bread.

1 Cup of Butter

2 Cups of Brown Sugar (cream both together well)

 

2 Eggs (add one at a time)

 

2 Teaspoons of Vanilla

2 Cups of Flour

1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda

2 Cups of Rolled Oats (not instant)

 

Bake at 350F for 10-15 minutes.
