Ancient Pictish Stone at Mounie Castle
This symbol stone was stood by the roadside. It now stands 20 m from the entrance of Mounie Castle, W of Old Meldrum. The symbols are on the NE face. The stone was broken when it was moved. This is a view of the stone. There are three symbols carved on it. AT the top is a crescent and V-rod. Below this is a crescent. There is also a mirror-and-comb. The mirror is rimmed and has two bosses decorating its handle. The comb is single-sided.
